Score was established in 1996 as a not for profit company registered as an environmental body under the Landfill Tax Regulations. Score developed a particularly close relationship with Shanks & McEwan (Northern ) Limited (Shanks) from whom they secured funding for significant national projects of a sustainable waste management nature, including, Remade Scotland, Project Polsco, Waste Awareness Scotland and Bright New Scotland.
Score were heavily involved in the creation of the Caledonian Shanks Centre which has become the leading research organisation in its field in Scotland with a reputation which extends around the World. Other relationships were developed with the Scottish Executive, SEPA and a variety of landfill operators. As a result of changes to the Landfill Tax Credit Scheme (LTCS) in April 2003 Score's relationships altered, with more emphasis on project management activities.
EB Scotland Limited was established in 2000 as a not for profit company registered as an environmental body under the Landfill Tax Regulations. The company's sole purpose was to manage landfill tax money from Shanks in Scotland. Due to changes in the LTCS in April 2003 and Shanks' sale of landfill assets the relationships have developed to providing similar services for several landfill operators and associated organisations.
